Initially tot that delivering confined water skills shgould be a breeze....since did it before in training...however somethings are very diff when delivering to actual students...as listed below:
- Students ego
Sometimes a student thinks he/she knows more than instructor...so tent not to listen or pay attention to briefing n training....end up kena repeat confined skills few times coz din do properly - Students limits
Must know how much a student can take.....emotionally and physically. - Mind reading
Be able to roughly know what's going inside the students's mind...whether he/she is scare, nervous, happy, emotional......etc. - Know ur stuffs
Really have to know what u r talking when explaining diving theories. Also prepare to answer many questions regarding diving.....no wonder divemasters have to read encyclopedia. - Demo water skills slowly n repeatly...eventhough u don feel well
No matter how tired are ur eyes...how bad the salt water is hurting it.....if the students din understand mask removal then u have to repeat doing it few times with a smile in ur face....heheheh
Overall...its not easy to teach students but its damm lots of FUN
