Some rock climbing lingo.....

Just wanna share some common rock climbing lingo.... :
  1. leader == The lead climber.
  2. cleaner == The second climber who "clean" (remove runners, quickdraws) the route after the leader.
  3. belayer == The person who is belaying the climber.
  4. belay on == Belay device ready and properly equiped/set up.
  5. belay off == Belay device is dismantled.
  6. climbing/climber ready == Command by climber to belayer, signalling climber is ready to climb.
  7. belayer ready == Command by belayer to climber, indicating belayer is ready to belay.
  8. hold == Command by climber to belayer, signalling for belayer to tighten the rope and hold the climber at his/her position.
  9. down == Command by climber to belayer, indicating climber ready to come down.
  10. slack == Command to climber to belayer, asking for some rope slack.

Well...that is basically some commands use in rock climbing. Happy climbing and have FUN.
