New place to climb

Something sad happen 2 weeks ago....to be precise its on 10th Aug 2008. I won't say its a very sad occasion to many people, but definitely for many rock climbers. It is the day Summit Rock Climbing Gym close down. They have been operating there for about 4 years now and from what I heard, the owner of Summit decide to increase the rent hence they are forced to moved out.

To be honest, the sport of rock climbing in Malaysia did grow but not at a very good pace. Over the years I have been climbing, the crowd still seem to be the same old bunch wherever I met. Ones or twice we see some new faces but they are more like those "try ones" type.

With the closure of the Summit climbing gym....me and my regular climbing kakis now have to look for other places to climb. We try to avoid going to Camp5 as the fee there is very very expensive, but ones a while we have to go there to feed our addiction for climbing. Else will do more outdoor climb.....if the weather permits.

Didn't realize I have not blog for about 2 months now...and I also didn't realize the last time I blog was just before mhy last diving trip.

In the previous blog....I am wondering whether will I call a quit on my DMT programme. Well the status now is about 90% completed, I just left my 4 stamina exams then I can be certified as a PADI DM already.

Due to some unforseen circumstances, I have decided to put on hold the DM training. My plan forward in diving now is to go for some fun dives a year and enjoy each dive I make. I will still continue to update myself on dive theories, skills and developments....however for the time moment, no courses...only pure fun dives :)

Is it the end.... ????

I am blogging this few hours before driving off to Lang Tengah with a mission. The mission is to complete all my practical PADI Divemaster exams. Its quite hard to do the practical exams when you are doin the course part time, as it involve goin to the island a lot. Anyway....left 2 more exams and I am gonna finish it this time.

This takes me back....think a bit, how it all begin. I must say that since day one I dive, most of my dives (80+ %) are training dives. Meaning its some sort of course....or learning. I have lost touch with the real reason I venture into diving, which is to enjoy my dives and take photos.

I am not saying I hate the training or I am regretting it. I like it a lot, it helps my skills and knowledge regarding SCUBA diving much. More importantly it helps me to promote the sport to many friends and family.

However when I look back, I do feel I need to get back into my real purpose of diving. Will this means the end for my dive training....hmmmmm....for now, I think most probably yes.

Soon I will be able to shout "FUN dive here I come" whenever I go on a dive trip :)

OK...I need to declare that I am not making any profit from Facebook by putting their name on the title of this posting :P

Anyway.....I am quite amazed by Facebook. When they launch....people is saying that they are only copying Friendster.com becoz friendster come 1st. Actually both are using the "6 degrees of separation" priciple in building the application. Basically it means friends meet friends and the the network expend from there.

What friendster did best, facebook expend it further. It encorporates advertisements, business opportunities, fun applications (I love Superpoke) and many many more. Also its build using Ajax...which enhances its GUI and user friendliness.

When I sign up, I am a bit sceptical that it will out-perform friendster. Well....little that I know, now it seems to be more succesful that friendster. I also begin to log into facebook more often than friendster now. Friendster try to introduce applications now, but I doubt it will be able to catch up anymore unless they come out with something new that is radical, interactive and fun.

Lastly....wanna say good job to Facebook.com for the good application. Also...for those who wanna add me ah, can search by my name (Kum Weng) lor :)

Well.....in my previous posting, I found out that I have not been blogging for a long time d. Now....I realize its more than 2 months since my last posting....which is even long.

Not sure whether those who frequent my blog still do so, but my best guess is that they do not since I no longer update this blog. Anyway....guess have to start blogging n promoting my blog ones again now.

Well....some updates:

Passion
I started to climb mountains again....being Gunung Nuang is the most I frequent. The fact that its bout 40kms away from my home and its very challenging, makes it a good place for me to workout n train my stamina. I can't hide the fact that I have a passion for the mountains (its still my No 1 passion) and being busy with work makes it hard to organise long trips. So a day trip to Gunung Nuang is just perfect. I am trying to make it a monthly daytrip event....try to go at least ones a month.

Work
Normal lor....still busy lor. Being in an SI company doin projects has its benefits and disadvantages also. The no 1 best benefit is that it is never boring as u change boss (client lor) very often based on ewhat project you do. You get to see a lot on many industry such as manufacturing, financial...etc etc.
Main disadvantage is that ur time is seldom predictable. Its especially hard if u wanna plan long holidays. Sometimes due to project commitment, we have to sacrifice some of our personal engagement.

DM Course
One word sums it all "dunno-lah". I cannot see the conclusion to this as I am busy with work and instructor busy with something else. So.....dunno-lah.

Friends
Hmmm....think got make some new friends....hope din make any new enemy. Anyway....most of my friends are those who share the same passion aas me, so if I don organise more activities that relate to our passion...I think our friendship is fading slowly.

Realize that it is almost a month since I last posted anything in my blog...haihzzz. Not sure why I just can't find the words to put in here each time I wanna blog something. Well, this time is not any different also, just some update on myself:

Work:
Finally ended my 2 1/2 months holiday....so now back to work. I'm still working with the same company, only diff now is that I am a permanent staff now...previously I was on contract.

I must admit....not having ride my bike for almost 2 months n suddenly ask me to zig zag through peak hours traffic in KL does get me a bit scared. Anyway I am glad to start working again.

DM course:
Manage to finish few exams, namely the CW exam and also the theory exam. Still got few more exams, however those can be scheduled along with my work schedule.

Also the most happy thing is that I brush up a lot on my swimming skill during this 2 1/2 month break. I have very lousy swimming skills and I see swimming as an art of survival instead of a sport, so I always wanted to brush up on it. Finally got to do what I always wanted.

Hometown during CNY

Was back to hometown with sayang last weekend and while jln jln at nite...I took some shots of the CNY decorations in Jonker Street.

The whole place is decorated with rows and rows of red lanterns.

Some of the buildings have red spot lights shined on pillars and their roof to make them more "red" in colour.

Fantastic decoration.

Even the Dutch buildings are not spared....red spot lights are everywhere....making the pillars, roofs and walkway red in colour.

Nice.

As usual...how can we forget bout the food. Tried out another laksa (curry noodle) stall in Jonker Street...and its yummy.

Also...there is always the cendol.

Pom ciak ciak

A friend of mine call just now and this is what she said..... "Siew, wanna go pom ciak ciak tomorow nite ???" For a moment I pause.....nothing goes through my mind except for the question "what is pom pom ciak ???". I know I heard the phrase b4...but just dunno it has any practical implication.

After pausing for quite sometime with my friend yelling "hello hello hello" few times on the other side of the phone.....I ask her "Errr....what is pom ciak ciak ah???". Then she told me..."Go clubbing lor !!!"...which got me more puzzled...since when clubbing become pom ciak ciak.

Anyway since I consider myself to old for these kinda activities anymore...I politely decline my friend's invitation to pom ciak ciak tomorow nite.

Learn a new phrase today "pom ciak ciak" == clubbing...hehehehe

:: CNY :: --Making fishie--

Every year without fail....the trees at my home in Malacca will be decorated with "fishes" during CNY. Well...its actually paper fishes make from ang pow and I am proud to be the maker of these fishes...hehehehe.

Usually I'll make ard 30-40 fishes a year, however due to the reduction of trees at my home this year...I make only ard 20 fishes.

Prepare the angpows....lots of them if u intent to make a lot of fishie.

1 single angpow usually can make only 1 fish, however if the angpow is long enuf, you can make 2 fishie.

Fold 1 end of the ang pow.

Then cut the angpow....use only the folded end to make the fish.

Cut out the shape as in the pic above on the folded part of the angpow.

Then snip a small portion away from the tip of the angpow corner...in this pic its the tip on the left corner of the angpow.

Open the folded ang pow and cut a line at the middle, directly on the line where you fold the ang pow just now. Cut about 2 inch.

Cross the end part to form the tail and staple the part where my finger is holding.

Make sure you staple it correctly.

Lastly hang a red string and tie a loop at the tree. Done....fish on the tree.

Due to the small cage Baby has and the corner it likes to nap.....its very difficult to get a good shot and also not waking him up.

My sayang decided to cook last Sunday.....so oklah...let her cook for a change. The dishes....hehehe...rice, soup, ginger chicken and a vege....simple but delicious.

Got many ingredients....but those floating are the peanuts n "hung chuw".

Ingredients for the vege.

1st- deep fry the garlic and ginger in hot oil to create the arom....and also oily smoke...hehehehe.

Then put in the vege n fry......don't forget to do a random smapling.

Final product....yummy.

Next is the ginger chicken....1st fry the ginger in hot oil.

Then put in the chicken meat n fry slowly.

Lastly put in some sauce n continue cooking....

Final result....nice ginger chicken.

There is this huge doggie day out event at Central Park in 1U last Sunday....so I teman Beckz there since she is a dog lover. Its also a good chance for me to see some real big tame doggies around.

Since I am now officially classified as "penggangur" until end Feb.....I will try to use the time to catch up with some personal stuffs. One of the thing which I would like to do is to make a trip to Langkawi with my sayang as our plan last year was cancelled last minute.

We check the calendar and last weekend was the best time to go. Its actually quite an ad-hoc trip but I guess that's the fun. Planning was done in about a day...then all the neccesary bookings....and then 2 days later off to Langkawi d. Since its off-season now, we got booking for apartments and car rental at low rates.

Packing.

Map also sendiri download n buat....adui...cheap skit lah.

Drove off ngam ngam 12am on Sat....target destination is Kuala Kedah jetty and estimated time of travel is ard 6 hours. After 6 hours and approx 500km driving....finally we arrive at the jetty ard 5.30am....all tired n sleepy.

Manage to catch the 7am ferry and we are finally at Langkawi ard 9am.

We proceeded to rent a car and then check in to our rented 1 room apartment. The car we rented a bit gaya lah....sport rims on all 4 and the back suspension sudah terangkat wan. Soon after driving it pass some really twisty road....its very responsive....only problem is makan minyak kaw kaw.

After kau tim check in n stuffs....we took a short nap as both of us din really have much rest at nite while travelling. After the nap, we went for lunch and visited the Langkawi Cable Car at Gunung Mat Chincang.

On the way back to our car from the cable car station, we have to pass something like a small village with restaurants n souvenir shops. Then we foun this strange fruit on this particular tree.....dunno what is it.

Our next destinations are to visit the many beaches along the north of Langkawi. We went to Pantai Pasir Tengkorak where the geographic structure of the rocks along the beach is superb. Next went to Tanjung Rhu. We skip Pantai Pasir Hitam as both of us have been there before.

At nite. we had dinner and do some shoppings at the various shopping malls ard town.

Next day....we woke up early for breakfast and our 1st destination is Underwater World Langkawi. It was sad that few months ago someone poison the main tank and all the fishes in there died. During our visit, the main tank is closed as the management is still upgrading and cleaning it. I guess they take the opportunity to do some maintenance to it also, since it is all empty now.

After visiting Underwater World Langkawi, we procedded back to town for lunch and then more shopping. Bought a set of kitchen knifes with its very nice and gaya casing.

Basically the holiday is a break for me and Beckz since its been quite some time since we went on a nice holiday together. Din really visited all the places in Langkawi as this is not the 1st time we been here.

LOB @ Pulau Sembilan, on board KALEEBSO part 1

It all started with an intention to do a last dive for the year 2007....and since the east coast if Peninsula Msia is still in monsson season, we have to opt for dives in the west coast.

Dives in the west coast is very seldom as nice as in the east coast as the waters here are more confined to a small strait compare to a big wide ocean in the east coast....however since we are determine to wanna breath compress air again n with the slogan "A bad dive is always better than the best day in work"....we sign up for 7 seat on board a LOB (Live On Board) trip with Kaleebso.

Due to limited seats....our trip has been delayed to 1st weekend of Jan. Our final dive for 2007 sudah become our 1st dive for 2008 pulak...hehehehe.

After weeks of waiting....finally the day has arrive. The day we all eagerly awaits has arrive.

4th Jan 2008
-8pm
After having our own dinner.....we all meet up at Richard's house. We are convoying in 2 cars with Yew Hong, Chuan and Apple in Chuan's car while Richard, Yvonne, Eric and me are in Richard's car.

After resolving some logistic stuffs (shoving which dive bag to which car), we left Richard's house ard 8.15pm. Our destination is Teluk Intan where we will pick up Carrie.

-10pm
Sampai Teluk Intan at ard slightly pass 10pm. We procedded to wait for Carrie at the designated spot...the famous leaning clock tower of Teluk Intan.

After waited ard 10 minutes, Carrie join us. We are now heading to the jetty situated in Hutan Melintang.

-11.15pm
Finally we arrive at the jetty and the boat is already waiting for us. Soon all the passengers arrived and we are ready to board the boat.

After the briefing...we are expecting nasi lemak as supper....but then tarak...haihzzzz. So we went down to the diving deck and set up our gear..., ready for tomorow's morning dive.

5th Jan 2008
-6am
Didn't get much sleep at all...the boat engine is so loud :( Only after the boat was in open sea and it accelerated...then the noice is more tolarable. Woke up feeling like wanna go back to bed n just sleep n drool there.

Did a quick check on the gears and then we procceded to the dining deck for some breakfast and a cup of strong coffee for me.

Everyone pagi pagi muka blur blur.

Somehow Eric look so happy.....maybe coz he slept nicer last nite.

Its dawn....and the water gonna be cold.

Our 1st dive is a check out dive.....basically for us to get used to breathing compress air underwater since quite some time d din do so. Also its for those with new gears to "check out" their new gears.

We dive into green semi murky water with vis somewhere ard 5m. Current is ok...still managable n get to rift dive a bit also, however its a little risky giving that vis is bad. Manage to spot 2 sea horses in thie dive, a black colour one and another is orange.

On the 2nd dive, we went down following a line laid by Khay Lee. The line is suppose to lead us to the sea horse nest which he found. I lead Chuan, Apple, Carrie, Yew Hong and Yvonne on this dive.

Lari bukit....seksanya :(

One of my 2008 new year resolution is to ne physically fit again. The reason is becoz I had a few game of mildly intense badminton games few weeks before new year....and I really pancit kaw kaw.

So my "get fit" resolution took off quite well. I went back to Bukit Gasing in the evening of 1st day of new year....walk a few round up the road and tried to run the whole way like what I did last time. Went half way...then patah balik d....coz stamina really pancit.

Today I went again....this time determine to at least kau tim 1 round run from Jln Gasing all the way up to Siva's Temple (near the telco tower) at the top. After some warm up and stretching.....I set my stopwatch and off I go.

Started slowly coz wanna pace myself. Halfway up....already feel the body yelling to stop d....however the mind is determine....so keep going. The last 300m to the top....usually I sprint as fast as I could here....but this time kenot. Tried to sprint.....feel like wanna pengsan so for safety...better not sprint.

Lastly sampai the top also....look at the timer and it records 7 min 22 secs. My first tot is...."WTF....that is slow". Well I used to (few years back) do 3 rounds of run n take the average of the time. Usually it average ard 6 min...with the fastest ever time I make it was 4 min 36 secs. Now I look at 7 mins n 22 secs...wa lau eh.....disapointing.

Anyway....since its really been a long time since I do exercise regularly...I forgive myself lah. Coming to run is already kira baik d. Currently for Jan n Feb...I'll be very free so have time to train up my stamina n fitness. Hopefully by March...I am fit again.

New Year Liao....2008

OK....finally new year d. 1st posting for the year...as biasa will be new year resolution lor. Every year I make new year resolution....can say resolve bout 80% of them.....some still tercicir. This year I think I wanna increase the rate....so will set more realistic resolution as below:

1- Kau tim my DM training
Ini mesti kau tim in 2008....unless in the process of doin so, I meet some unfortunate incident which make me physically or mentally incapable to complete the course under PADI standards. If that din happen....then this is my top priority resolution.

2- Get fit
In 2007 especially the 2nd quarter onwards....I start to slowdown termendously in sports. I can feel my body feeling lethargic, my reflex slower, my mind not as cergas as use to be....basically whole person getting lazier. Every morning go work also feel tired.....come home also tired...haihzzz...mana boleh ni.

So resolution is to get back fit.....goin to play badminton again, rock climb more n start to run/sprint more d.

3- Better financial planning
Goin to have a permanent job in 2008 finally after working on contract basis job for more than 2 years d. Finally now I can better plan my finances and budget more efficiently.

4- Relationship
Will continue to build and strenghten the foundation of my relationship with my sayang. Basically I would say we drew the blueprint n plant the pilling d in 2007 for the relationship. Now we will continue to strenghten the foundation so in future we can build a strong building for the family to come...hehehehe.

OKlah...so got 4 resolution saja......tak mau set so many this year...now I wanna tido liao.

End year d.....new one coming

Kelip kelip mata saja......sudah 1 year past. So fast gonna say bye bye to 2007 liao and welcome 2008. Also din realize I started this blog for more than a year d.....Well, its that time of the year again....to reflect on what happen in 2007 and what to expect in 2008.

In 2007:

Relationship:
Still goin strong with my "sayang"....in fact getting stronger. During middle of 2007....many people predict I will be getting married soon....judging from my relationship with my sayang. However soon the prediction slowly ease off.....guess they are bz predicting when is the next general election pulak or how much petrol gonna naik harga.

Family:
Sis move out of the house somewhere in Sept....so I end up renting the whole house. Since then...few additional family members have been added to the house. Beckz shift in since goin to work from my house is cheaper n nearer for her.

Then I got 3 kids to add to the family. They are namely Hammie, Sappy and Baby. Go them when they were just babies....now grown more than twice their original size d n still growing. The home feel more lifely with my kids ard.

Work:
Start work in end Jan after my long long 7 months break. Overall it feels good to start working again.....was feeling quite lethargic after such a long break.

There are ups n downs during work...which is normal lah. Overall quite happy becoz I am doin what I like to do.

Lastly....starting tomorow I am again on my breaks again...hehehehe. Basically I was hired as a contractor...and my contract ends today...ngam ngam on new year eve.

Climb mountain:
Nothing much on this area.....still doin few mountains a year. Successfully lead 16 climbers to Gunung Tahan in May.....think I qualify become guide d.....coz that is what the guides told me...hehehehe.

Scuba diving:
Still doin my divemaster course. Really need a lot of commitment doin it part time. Many times the classes clashes with work commitment....n juggling the time is just so so difficult.

Hmmm....I think that is all I can think of now. Rushing to post this posting before it turns 2008......got few more minutes saja.

Shopping @ DD

Was at Diver's Den (aka DD) last weekend with Apple and Chuan. Basically they are there to get a set of regulators and BCD each, while I am there to kam ching kam ching ard and also to change my regulator 2nd stage hose to the swivel type.

I bawa my reg everything there....then baru been inform that they are out of stock for the swivel hose...aiyah. Have to wait for the to order from stokies and they will call me when they got the stock.

So I sit at the counter n look ard...chatting with the "si tao poh" while Apple n Chuan chooses their BCD n regs. Then I spotted "it"....something I wanted to get for quite some time liao. Its the last unit...n the "si tao poh" say cincai lah...cheap cheap sell to me.

Well...what did I beli...hehehe...see below:

Rock Climb in Damai

Its been quite sometime since I last went outdoor to rock climb....hence when Richard invited me to join the Shell Sport Club for a climbing session in Damai, Batu Caves...I accept it without hessitation.

A little info bout rock climbing as below...excerp from wiki:

Rock climbing, broadly speaking, is the act of ascending steep rock formations. Normally, climbers use gear and safety equipment specifically designed for the purpose. Strength, endurance, and mental control, as well as agility and balance, are required to cope with tough, dangerous physical challenges, and knowledge of climbing techniques and the use of essential pieces of gear and equipment are crucial.

Basically its a form of climbing....whether its ourdoor at natural rock wall or indoor in artificial rock walls. Both offers different level of challenges, uniquesness and FUN.

After a light meal of McD Big Breakfast at McD BU (after picking Apple)...we are off to the rock wall in Damai. When we reached there...Richard n the geng already climbing some routes set by him and Wai Meng.

This trip is also is the first time Yew Hong climb outdoor. Its a good experience....especially when he tried lead climbing n learn the correct technique to use the quick draws and to hook/tie the rope to the anchor at the top.

1st time doin lead climb.....slowly learning how to hook the quickdraw correctly on the bolt.

I reckon this route is bout 25m high....quite daring of Yew Hong to lead such a high route on his 1st outdoor trip.

Too bad Yew Hong din manage to finish leading the 2nd route.....its really very tiring as its very high and also he fall ones. Tall routes requires a lot of stamina if you hang too long on the wall. Finally Richard has to complete leading the route at the last few bolts....n as usual...I am the one who clean the "shit"...opppssss....I mean quickdraws after the leader descended :P

My Best Friend Wedding

Last Sunday is my one and only best friend punya wedding. Sudah lama I waited for him to kahwin....akhirnya the days come also. Was happy for him too...coz his perangai "sap har sap har" a bit wan...so got a wife to jaga him also good.

Wasn't able to make it for his "tendang pintu" ceremony.....which make him kinda upset...hehehe, anyway I make up for it by attending the church wedding.

Church of the holy name of Mary in Permatang Tinggi....so far from Penang Island.

Inside the church....catholic churches usually have nice designs...btw..this is a chinese church.

Pergi Penang

Was at Penang last weekend for a friend's wedding. Since the wedding reception and dinner is on Sunday....I decided to leave KL to Penang on Friday nite itself after work...so sayang n me can go jln jln a bit on Saturday.

We had all sort of plans for Saturday....however only manage to go to the botanical garden and makan makan at nite saja. All this becoz we are just too tired n find sleep more important than jln jln...hehehehe. Anyway still manage to go breakfast with Beckz punya friend's mama, whom we are staying at her place.

At the botanical garden...., was expecting to see many monkeys. Indeed there were a lot...sampai kena attack by one...hehehehe. This place is famous for joggers too....can see many of them, old and young running ard the garden. Also can see many kahwin orang come here for their outdoor photo shot.

Floodwaters recede, evacuees return home

MUAR: All flood victims from Kampung Sarang Buaya Darat and Kampung Melayu housed at the SM Pekan Baru relief centre since Monday have returned to their homes.

District officer Abdul Rahman Jaafar said they were allowed to leave the centre after lunch Wednesday as their villages were no longer flooded following good weather for the past two days.

However, he said victims from Kampung Sarang Buaya Laut and Kampung Semerah Laut -- numbering about 122 people from 30 families -- still remained at the centre.

“Their homes are located near the coast and it will take some time for the flood water to recede in their areas.

Why we should rock climb more frequent.....

1- Body become so stiff after a long break.
2- The 6 packs (hengtais) in tummy decide to combine become 1 pack (tailo).
3- Fingers no strength d.
4- Elbow and wrist no strength to lock anymore.
5- Forget to cut nails before climb.....real torture.
6- Don't seem to be able to fit into the "2 size smaller" rock shoe anymore.
7- 6A+ routes looks "do-able".....6B and above looks "im-possible" :P
8- Whole body ache after a day climb.
9- No stamina to do more than 15 routes (gred 6 and above only) per day.
10-Fingers swell....cannot even take off my ring now.

So conclusion....must frequently climb.

Finally....after dunno how many donkey months pass liao....I finally started to rock climb again last Saturday. Went back to my usual climbing gym in Summit USJ.....and the staffs still recognise me...hehehehe. 1st thing they say when saw me "Eh..lama tak nampak, dah put on weight jugak ni"....aiyoh...paiseh paiseh.

Nothing great bout climbing lah....maybe long time din climb d...hence the fingers aren't that strong anymore. Still can do 6A and 6A+ routes...however when come to those 6B onwards...torture d. The finger just can't get those grips on the slopers d.

Anyway....its been a while...so its expected that we won't be able to do good. Slowly slowly the skills are coming back. Maybe should try bouldering on some technical routes to get back the flexibility 1st.....

Hopefully can continue climb every Saturday.....only 1 word is my motivation now...GANBATE.

So many things I miss now days.....especially after being tied up with loads of work. Kinda wonder when will I able to balance back my life and work.....which was so importantly stressed in my ex-company.

Things I miss:

1- Rock climbing
Use to do this every Friday evening without fail....now days don do d. Don quite remember when is the last time I went rock climb also.....I think easily its 6 months ago. Not sure whether the fingers can still take the torture and the body is still as agile as used to be.

Yew Hong mention that he also miss rock climbing....hence we try to make it every Saturday from next month onwards.

2- SCUBA Diving
Last was in end July.....which is quite a tiring trip. Then subsequently no more trips d...haihzzz. Then start doin much of my DMT training d...but due to work commitment...I am forced to delay it till next year.

3- Badminton
Same case as DMT training.......have to give way to work commitment. Kinda sad coz I like badminton a lot and I can now see my skills from years of training last time are goin down the drain. Would try to make it for a regular weekend game in the future.

4- Jungle trekking & mountain climbing
Too bz to organise a trip....haihzzzzz.

OK...I admint I always criticise "u" bout ur unpredictable timing of sunlight n heavy rain. Also "u" seems like always like to rain when I wanna go somewhere....example home from work...which make me hate "u" more.

However something "u" did yest deserve some credit. Thanks for sotping the rain for a brief moment early this morning so I can go home from work. I already work till 12+am and the last thing I want is to go home in heavy rain. Thanks for stoping the rain from KL all the way to my home.....eventhough I know "u" were a bit naughty by pour a little when I am bout 200m from my home.

Terrible weather

Now days the weather is terrible.....seriously unpredictable. It can be so hot (burning hot) and then bout half hour later heavy rain....pouring cats n dogs. Then the sky will clear back n the sun shine again.......and this cycle of sunshine and rain could continue for few times in a day time.

With these type of weather condition ...hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold....even metal can bend. No wonder so many people are getting sick...which sadly including me :(

Hari Raya coming d

Hari Raya is a muslim festival.....and celebrated by all in Msia regardless of any religion and colour you are. This is the beauty of our nation....regardless of any race festivals....we will all celebrate together.

I kinda like Hari Raya....when I was a kid, will go visit dad's muslim friends who really stay in kampungs. Serious.....we really go to kampungs, where there is not really any big roads and the sight of goats n cows grazing the grass by the road side is common. The environment is just so peaceful.....no wonder those stay in kampungs lived longer and healthier.

Also during hari raya....that is the time I get to eat lemang.....yummy. I seriously love it....so tasty. Makan with some mutton curry....yum yum....kenot describe the feeling.

Now days staying in the city.....don't really have chance to visit any muslim friends who stay in kampungs anymore. Despite not being able to see goats n cows grazing grass beside the road.....the mood of hari raya is still very much alive. All this thanks to......what else, lemang lah...hehehehehe.

My sayang's friends came Kuantan few weeks ago and being a good host, we brought them ard KL. Since its Merdeka weekend...so the streets are very quiet....very very less car.

1st stop: (Berjaya Times Square)

They wanted to go jln jln in complexes 1st....so brought them to Berjaya Times Square. Reason to choose this place: coz its huge (outstation folks like huge complexes), many variety (this place starting to become like Sg Wang Plaza d), location (located at 1 side of KL...and ard few complexes)....and finally coz I wanna check out Borders book store...hehehehe.

We jln jln for quite long...few hours. Lastly feel hungry d, so go eat Hartz Chicken Buffet....yummy. After dinner...also bout 8.30pm d....time to proceed to the 2nd d
destination.

2nd stop: (Eye On Malaysia)
Personally i myself have not been to the Eye On Malaysia. I know its at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa.....but din know the exact location of it. Taman Tasik Titiwangsa is huge...so better know the exact location so won't make a long turn to search for it. Thanks to Google Earth, I found it......and manage to continue be the tour guide.

The rain just stop when we reach this place..., so its cooling. Visibility is very good also, coz the rain took off most of the city haze with it. There is a nice presentation of merdeka related clips on water mist screen in the lake....cool.

Sayang's friends went on the Eye On Malaysia....price is ok too @ Rm 15 per person per ride. U get 6 rounds in 1 ride...ok mah. Next is the final destination for the nite.

3rd stop: (secret place with magnificent view)
This is not a tourist attraction place...but tour guides usually bring tourist here......for the one and only reason as shown in the pic below.....

For those who know KL well...you should know this spot. This place offers one of the best view of the Petronas Twin Towers. Sayang's friends like to take picture...so this spot is a must visit...furthermore the vis is so good.

So basically that was my tour guide adventure for bout quarter day....from 5+ pm till bout 12am.....quite nice to travel ard KL when the roads are clear and the air is fresher after the rain.

When I look back a year ago....realize many things has happen for the year that has gone pass. I remember exactly on 31st August 2006 what happen:::::

1- Rock climb in 1U
I think that is the last time I rock climb in Camp5 in 1 Utama. Also its my fist climb with David Beasly. Actually we just wanted to burn some time before driving to Kuala Terengganu at midnite.

2- Exactly 2 months din kerja d
Actually still quite happy "surveying land" that time. Never had the problem of difficulty gtting up every morning...hehehehe.

3- Take rescue diving course
Never thought that after 3 n half months since started diving....I would be on my way taking rescue diver course. Its the most challenging course i too by far....more details bout that trip is available in my Dive dive dive....yahooooo...diving is FUN (Episode 3) - FINAL EPISODE posting.

4- Drive Honda Accord 3.0 V6 V-tec
1st time drive such big n powerful car ler. Also 1st time drive such expensive car. Kasi try all the features kaw kaw...EBD, ABS, TCS....etc etc. Summo it was raining heavy on the old narror road from Ceneh heading to Kuala Berang...perfect condition to test out the car. For such a big n powerful car, it handle very well, very nimble and nice to drive....really a big experience for me.

My Wii Experience

So I was cordinally invited by my sis to test the Nintendo Wii her company just bought for a promotion they are doing soon. They are not promoting Wii but using it to attract customers.

For those who dunno what is Nintendo Wii.....well its a new game console introduced by Nintendo. Its very unique in the sense that it changes the way people play console game. Usually u uses a joystick or controller to play...however in Wii....u uses its controller like as an object in the game. Example if u r playing tennis, the controller serves as a tennis racquet handle...hence u play the game by really swingging the controller as if u r really playing tennis. Movement of the controller are sensed by a sensor you place on top of your TV. For more info about Nintendo Wii, please visit their website @ http://wii.nintendo.com/

OK...back to me cerita....

So here i am...like a small kid wanting ice cream when i saw the Wii console on the floor. I give the manual a few flip through n immediately pasang the console.

There is a lanyard attach with the controller....any before any games begin, there is a reminder to remind u to strap the lanyard to your wrist so it won't accidently fly off your hand while u swing it and break something...most common is your TV.

** Fasten the lanyard to your wrist like this....to avoid accidently launching any "projectile" controller towards ur TV, home hi-fi, mirror mirror on the wall, out of your house via the balcony or ur sleeping cat on the TV ** warning by Siew :P

The sensor which sense your controller movement. Also I suspect there is a motion detecter in the controller which sense your wrist movement.

There is also another warning (yes...this is a warning) to remind you to clear off a radius of area surrounding you....coz u r going to swing ur arm in multi directions according to the game...and i am sure u do not want to hit anyone while doing that. So I clear of an area about 6 square feet....enuf for me to play Wii tennis as shown in the pic above...hehehehe.

Then while playing.....aiks notice got kipas. Aiks...dangerous, later hand hit kipas how...cialat lor.

Realize the kipas is quite low also...alamak...susah ni.

So I test test....see my hand can reach the kipas or not.

Ah....luckily tak sampai.....now can continue play Wii tennis d.

Wah...play for 1 hour d...sweating a lot liao. Started from level 4 now see see...

play until level 381 d...terror leh...also the game start to feel like real tennis d now.

Opppsss.....din notice a danger just now. I reach my hand to touch the fan...but clearly won't kena....but then din realize this type of fan got a short tali to adjust the speed wan. This tali clearly my hand can hit.

Look closely...can see the tali geh.....very low saja.

Then it hapen.... **pring prang**...hand hit the tali.

The tali terus putus....kena repair with tapes......haihzzzzz...

So summary of my Nintendo Wii experience are:
- Nice to play....its seriously is something new.
- Good innovation...those jipun fellow in Nintendo really got good brain to come up with this console.
- Graphic and sound ok ok saja lah...standard stuffs lor, nothing spectacular.
- Din't really get me glued to the TV...maybe its the game which is not exciting.
- Good for exercise...i seriously sweat a lot playing Wii tennis.

lastly:
- Seriously make sure your radius of play area is clear...inclusinf overhead n underhead.

Result: 4 out of 5 mamee snacks

The gathering of friends and family...all gathered for a common interest...what a team.

The teamwork....it goes by the motto "All make it or no one makes it, leave no one behind".....

Teamwork do not see age and colour.....that is the beauty.....

The nite gathering after a day of hard work.......

Cheese baked rice

Sometimes I like to experiment with cooking.....if I taste something nice or unique in a restaurant....I will try to create the same/almost same lah thing at home. Some of my success include making the Sunrise drink...its a ice blended orange+milk drink usually served in Coffee Bean. Used to know how to make Ice Blended Mocha also...but then long time din practise liao so kinda forget the ingredient d.

Recently I makan few times cheese baked rice in few restaurants....hmmm...I feel that I can make this. So on 1 fine weekend...I went shoping for the ramuan with Beckz.

So here we are shopping.....for tomatos, cheese, meat, sauce, jipun rice (so cute...bulat bulat kecik kecik, remind me of doraemon), spoon, fork, toilet paper (wipe the oil), oil, orange + milk (for Sunrise), plasters (in case kena lecur)...hehehehe....joking bout the plaster :P

So when got back to home...I masuk nasi tomato....then Beckz masak the meat...also we got soup from Beckz mum. After 2 hours of our collective effort....jadilah aku punya cheese bake rice + black pepper chicken h herbal sour.

Sat pai ahhhhhhh

Very "sat pai" (in English: dissapointed/useless) ah....very very "sat pai" ah. Few months ago I manage to "pikul" (in English: carry/piggyback) my "sayang" (in English: dear/beloved,wife) up the stairs in my apartment....at least reach until 5th floor wan.

This morning I try again.....aiyoh...sad case. Carry until 3rd floor, the leg wanna give up d. Really give up...wanna become jelly liao...wa lau eh. Really sad lah that time......dunno why fitness so bad liao.

Looks like now have to run the stairs more daily d....ganbate.

OK...here is some history 1st:

Zaman persekolahan aka "zaman kebangkitan"
That time quite thin....maybe coz play a lot of badminton and very actively involved in sprinting. Also that time hyper active wan...play a lot of football, almost every evening. Makan banyak also kenot put on weight wan....really kulit balut tulang only that time.
Avg weight: 55-58kg

Zaman pendidikan seksa/lebih masa aka "college time"
Zaman main football every single day over liao...., in fact I think totally stop. Reason is becoz I shofted to another state, so no kaki (friends, not leg) to play with d. Lazy find new kaki also...so just stop playing lor. Actually I still have my football boot with me, still very new.

Then get to know some badminton kaki....so this is zaman badminton pulak. Play badminton almost 3 times a week. The for a brief period got go gym also (those body building type wan, not the glamour glamour like FF n CF type)...but stop after few months after heard of some "un-natural/against nature" things happen in that gym.

As usual....most zaman pendidikan seksa students will suffer from an addiction late at nite....which is lepaking in mamak stalls. I am no diff.....almost everyday have to go for my dose of milo ais. As a result..., weight pun naik lah.

Zaman kerja aka "Zaman panjat gunung and kegemilangan badminton"
This is really my zaman kegemilangan badminton.....becoz I took up badminton training. Actually I have been playing badminton with a group of friends since college time...then some of them suggest to take up formal training to improve our skills...so few of us went for it.

Kenot forget those training days.....really "sanfu" eh. Walk into court with our chest held high n feel proud wan...then after some drills/practise....will keluar court crawling wan. Those days really train kaw kaw...the kaki muscle really grow kaw kaw..like back in my sprinting days.

Also during this zaman (in english means "era")....my panjat gunung gene decide to kick in. I must admit...I got it genatically from my dad. So start lah my panjat gunung days. Until now i still organise trips.....especially my annual Mt Tahan trip. Seriously I'll miss that place is I don go there at least ones a year.

Due to my activeness in panjat gunung, badminton and also rock climb (weekely no fail) and someties jogging/srpinting...manage to control weight. Also at this time....very very fit...everyday look very healthy n alert.
Average weight: maintain 63-65kg

Zaman sekarang aka "Zaman kesedihan"
Just now go supermarket.....got those timbang on the floor let people test. So I main main go test....see my weight. Stand on the timbang, see the glass display for the result...wa lau eh...almost pengsan.....my weight naik to 70kg liao. Seriously kenot believe my eyes....until kena timbang 2nd time.

After sudah confirm my "sad" case....I think think back. Well....for the past few months, I din really play badminton anymore, rock climb also tarak buat liao and no more go Bkt Gasing sprint. Then in office always makan junk food....especially itu mamee monster snack.

Haihzzzz....no wonder lah.....sad sad. However also kenot do anything now...but can do something in the future to make myself fit again. I wanna start with running the stairs in my apartment again. Then if got chance, wanna go practise back swimming...this is very important especially for my DM training. Also will definitely get back to be an active badminton player....i dowan to let what i learn during the training days goto waste.

Well...those are my immediate goals now...will see in another 3 months, any diff or not.

I can't really say that goin dive while doing DM training is much FUN....for the no 1 reason is becoz u won't be goin on much FUN dive anymore. Most of the time will be teaching+helping+coordinating students and if you are lucky, well get to lead one or two dives to some nice sites.

Anyway during last weekend trip...I manage to spot a nice bunch of healthy anemone with many clown fish residing in it. The anemone is at very shallow water near at the house-reef which you can basically walk out to it during low-mid tide.

I manage to find some time and sneak out to take some pictures of the anemone...see below:

Initially tot that delivering confined water skills shgould be a breeze....since did it before in training...however somethings are very diff when delivering to actual students...as listed below:

Students ego
Sometimes a student thinks he/she knows more than instructor...so tent not to listen or pay attention to briefing n training....end up kena repeat confined skills few times coz din do properly

Students limits
Must know how much a student can take.....emotionally and physically.

Mind reading
Be able to roughly know what's going inside the students's mind...whether he/she is scare, nervous, happy, emotional......etc.

Know ur stuffs
Really have to know what u r talking when explaining diving theories. Also prepare to answer many questions regarding diving.....no wonder divemasters have to read encyclopedia.

Demo water skills slowly n repeatly...eventhough u don feel well
No matter how tired are ur eyes...how bad the salt water is hurting it.....if the students din understand mask removal then u have to repeat doing it few times with a smile in ur face....heheheh

Overall...its not easy to teach students but its damm lots of FUN

Manyak celaka......really really celaka. Out of the sudden....my rumah kena masuk pencuri...haihzzzz.

When my sis 1st call me n told me the house kena masuk pencuri......I was so worried. I have every reason to worry...becoz my dive gears berterabur on the floor in my room. I haven't kept it after I used them during confined water on Sat.

After survey survey....found that my lost is my Canon S2IS camera...haihzzzz.....so sad. I bought that camera somewhere 2 years ago when I save enuf money for it. Took many wonderful pics with it also...including numerous trips to Putrajaya for nice photos.

Luckily my old Powershot A80 is spared. That camera is bout 4 years old now...and recently only I sent it for repair. I use that camera for my underwater photography.

Confined water training....finally over...

Finally kau tim d....all the Open Water Diver (OWD) confined water skills....all 20 of them, done. Took 2 weekends to practise all of them.....1st weekend quite chaotic...did not do very well also. Finally on yesterdays training...everything seems much much much more better d....most skills performed with average 4 out of 5 points. Happy to know that my fellow buddy did very well too.

Summary of training (doin, learning, teaching):

1- Half mask
Easy to do, easy to learn, easy to teach.

2- Reg recovery
Easy to do, easy to learn, easy to teach..if student din panic :p

3- Mask removal
Easy to do, a little complicated to learn, extremely difficult to teach if student panic :(

4- Free flow reg
Easy to do, student might not understand what u r doin, easy to teach...provided student understand :p

5- AAS
Not very easy to do, easy to learn, quite complicated to teach if student do too fast.

6- Remove weight underwater
Easy to do...can be very hilarious too..hehehehe, easy to learn, not easy to teach also...and can also be hilarious.

and the 3 most interesting activity....

7- Fin pivot
Easy to do, not easy to learn the proper way, not easy to teach...students might wonder what the hell u r doin :p

8- SCUBA removal underwater
Not easy to do properly, not easy to learn the proper way, suprisingly quite easy to teach :)

9- CESA (Control Emergency Swimming Ascent)
Easy to do, can be complicated, easy to teach if do slowly

and the most funny wan....

10- BCD removal n donnin on water surface
Easy to do...but definitely hilarious, not complicated to learn...all u have to do is wear the darn BCD on water surface, errr....can be easy to teach geh.

So basically that's all lor. Still got many other skills...but these are the main ones. Some of them can really be very very hilarious when performed wrongly...kekekeke. No wonder sometimes the air usage is so high...coz laughing non stop underwater :p

Btw...as professional divemaster in training....we should not laugh at the students eventhough it is damm bloody funny sometimes...ahem....professionalism charisma must be maintained :p

My 1st trip to LT (Lang Tengah island) is somewhere middle of last year May. Went there for my Open Water Diver (OWD) course...hehehehe...so I am still actually consider a new diver :)

I quite like the environment in LT. Its a very small island, compared to its 2 nearest neightbour Perhentian and Redang. Only 3 active resorts here, 1 tutup liao and another one is planned to start construction soon. There is only 2 beaches in the island....and the one where the resort I usually stay is located....only got 1 resort there. Also the beach is in a clove....so the water in front of the resort is usually very calm.

The sea so calm...

Soon I'll be visiting LT again....can't wait. Starting to miss the place already....the white sandy beach, the sweet smell of the sea, the warm n soothing sea breeze and the sound of waves crashing onto the beach.

2nd day sick...haihzzz....ma fan lah. Guess the doc already espected this...that's y he gave me 2 days MC. I still remember he say "fight 1 day, recover another day"...basically I need 1 day for the med to fight the virus...then another day to recover.

At least not so tired today...so manage to do some work related stuffs also. After doin for few hours...feel bit headache so go lie down. Can't really sleep....n feel quite miserable not able to do anything.

Then I catch a glimpes of my camera. Its been quite some time since I take photos...so I tot...hmmm, why not take some pictures. Below are some of the shots :)

These few days the weather so hot.....each time I go to work n come back...also will be sweating....coz ride motorbike got no AC mah. Yest I came home really sweating...until my baju also wet. Then I change n went to bath.....took a cool refreshing bath.

Then this morning kena liao. Woke up with bad headache and feel very cold all over. I know I kena fever d....haihzzzz. Initially tot still can go work but then when I stood up, feel so dizzy....hence better take MC, scare later terpengsan while ride bike...that time cia lat.

Went to see doctor ard 10am.....condition quite critical liao. Was shivering while waiting for my turn to see the doc. The doc check my temperature n confirm its very high....also my flu start liao. He gave me 2 days MC....1 for today and another for tomorow just in case I don't recover. He also gave me 4 tablets of very strong anti-biotic....2 tablets a day.

After consulting the doc...Beckz (yeah...she also took MC..bad cough) ta pau some food for me. After makan, I took the med n sleep.

Haihzzzz.....now feel a bit better liao...but still got flu. At least the fever is not as bad as in the morning d....not much headache d.

New exercise...hehehehe

Now days I seldom do any sports anymore.....my exercise regime really goes down the drain d n I seem to eat more also. I think I mention in one of my past post (suffer suffer) regarding how I suffer if I join a sport event now days.

However now days I have new exercises d. One of it happen accidently....which is walking to office and back every single day. Errr...b4 u guys think 'Wah..so keng ah, walk to work ah"...well...I do walk to work..but not from my house lah. I walk from KLCC to Jln Pinang...which is only bout 10 minutes away. I always try to walk fast....hence can exercise a bit also.

Then second exercise I found...hehehehe....this one more fun n tiring. It involve my sayang also, without her, I can't do it alone....well...at least not so enjoying lah. Since I see my sayang almost daily...I decided to carry her (piggyback) up the stairs to my apartment unit on the 8th floor. So far manage to do 6 floors d. Also I do squats while carrying her too....so far manage 20 times lah b4 my "peha" muscle gives way.

My objective is I am able to do 50 squats while carrying her....and also walk up 12th floor of stairs while carry her....ganbate.

For those who do not understand Bahasa Malaysia...."Jadi lembu" simply means "becoming a cow". You might be wondering what does that got to do with me....hehehe...well, here is the story.

Basically "jadi lembu" is a tag we conned out to refer to people who have to become a porter (willingly or un-willingly) in jungle trekking. Most of the "lembu" are actually good hearted kind people who helped others on their lugguage during the trip. These are the people who usually take more load in order for the others to enjoy the hike.

so here is the story.....

My cousin (Eric) has invited me to join his company trip to Mt Irau last week. He has asked for my assistance in guiding the newbies (well...all of the rest never climbed Irau b4) however I am a little reluctant. Reason is I am a bit tired of guiding newbies becuase I have just did so about a month ago at Mt Tahan. Hence on this trip, I volunteer to be the porter....aka "lembu".

Besides have to carry extra heavy loads as compared to others.....the "lembu" also have to reach the campsite early as he/she (oh yeah...there are female "lembu"s also but not in this trip) usually carries the tent(s). The main advantage is that the "lembu" don't have to wait for others and can just race all the way up.

Actually this is not the 1st time I become a "lembu"...tried is b4 last year in Irau also. For short weekend trips with newbies...i would prefer to be the "lembu" than becoming the guide and organizer....coz if anything goes wrong, the furious climbers don't come after me...hehehehehe.

Working in KL.....

Finally I got transfered to a client which is located smack in the middle of KL. Not that I have anything against the client....but it is the location of work which is a bit troublesome.

For those who do not know....KL (stands for Kuala Lumpur) is the capital of Malaysia. Its a majestic place where development has rapidly took place (big n tall buildings rising everywhere) but still you can see many lushes of greens scattered ard the areas. It is also the home to the world tallest twin tower, The Petronas Towers.

The big problem KL faces (like any other major metrpolis in the world) is heavy traffic congestion. Cars are not cheap in here as compared to other major cities, but it is too easy to get a car loan here, hence almost everyone has a car. When it come to working hours and balik rumah hours.....traffic congestion is at its peak. For those who are driving...it is very common to spend easily 3 hours on the road each day due to traffic congestion. Just imagine if we can reduce this time to an hour....I'm sure everyone is happy to get an extra 2 hours of sleep rite.

For me....luckily I ride motorbike to work hence din kena must of the jam. Took me ard 1/2 hour to cover 20 kms (imagine lah, avarage speed is 40km/j only) at peak time, which is very good compared to average 1 hour if by car. The only problem is it is really dangerous. Also if it rains....triple the danger becoz the road is slippery. Well..this is why I don't prefer to work in KL.

I came upon an atricle in The Star newspaper about a month ago regarding a turtle and river terrapin conservation program launched by Aquaria KLCC with partnership from The Body Shop, The Royal Mint of Malaysia and Media Prima.

The purpose of the program is to collect enuf $$$ to sponsor the effort to tag 1500 endangered species of turtles and river terrapins to be released back into the sea. The ability to track the turtles through the microchips will contribute to the survival of the turtles. Full story of this program can be read at Adopt a turtle project.

After reading the article....I make up my mind to contribute towards this program. Eventhough it took me a month....finally I make a trip to Aquaria KLCC and contributed towards this project. I am given the opportunity to name the turtle...n I call it Beckz...hehehe...nice or not the name :)

Strange AC

I also dunno what happen to the AC system in the place I work. Sometimes it will just blow hot air.....then shut down completely. Else sometimes no AC totally for the whole day.

Recently people complain that the AC is not very well distributed...hence the contractor came n make few more AC outlets. Then the AC compressor n blower went "kaput"....so here comes the contractor again to fix the compressor. Afterthat...the AC got so hot...strangely on on certain outlet...hence its possible for 1 room to have 1 outlet with cold air and another with hot air.

So afgain the contractor came again to fix it....then found out they din do a proper job last time and hot air from the compressor room is leaking into the AC tube. Took them few days to solve it...and for unfortunate people like me and my colleagues, few days of suffering.

Finally now solve d....and our rooms now feel like meat freezer. Seriously...its damm bloody cold...and the best thing is, there is no way we can adjust the temperature....maybe the contractor forgotten bout this feature.

What I know from this is...the contractor came many times, get paid many times....and we still have temperature problem. No wonder the contractors are driving big cars n eating good food everyday.

Haihzzzz....what can I say....so malu lah. Panjat bukit I ok, naik gunung ok, scuba diving ok, free diving ok, lumba lari ok, kayuh basikal ok......only swimming tarak ok.

Dunno apasal....maybe coz lack swimming, that's y skill tarak baik. Now do DM training...ada swimming test lagi...adui....kena improve ni. Actually quite malu lah, Rescue Diver swimming tarak ok...haihzzzz.....dissapointed.

Anyway now got motivation to swim liao...I wanna be good swimmer n excel in all the stamina assestment in DM training....gambate.

After being late for movie liao...nevermind lah...just proceed with it. Anyway only miss bout 5 minutes only...but I think miss a lot of funny scenes d...coz can hear people laughing d. Afterall..it is Sherk 3....famous funny cartoon...hehehehe.

Masuk cinema saja...realize its full pack n mostly are parents with their kids...hehehe. Tak ramai couple couple pun...hehehehe. Anyway...proceed with the movie.

Shrek 3
Continuation of the 2nd installment of the same series. This time saying the King of Far Far Away mati liao n Shrek become the king. He dowan jadi king, so he go find Arthur which is the next in line being king after Shrek.

Then while Shrek is away....Prince Charming team up with all the bad fairy tale characters (like Captain Hook, Cinderella's step sisters....etc) to conquor Far Far Away. He succeded and took over control of Far Far Away. His main objective is he wanna stage a theater play of him killing Shrek and rescuing the princess.....so funny punya objective.

When Shrek know his kingdom kena tawan liao n his Pricess Fiona in danger...he also cepat cepat rush back to Far Far Away n rescue his maiden princess n seize back the Kingdom. At the end...everyone also live happily ever after lor.....except for Prince Charming....hehehehe

Anyway...the plot of the story is very simple sajalah as u can read above....however the movie seriously funny lah. The script writers really know how to make things funny...like when Donkey change body with Puss. Then Puss try to make the cute face while he is in Donkey's body....funny lah, so ugly wan.

For those who wants a serious laugh after a bz day....i seriously recommend this movie. Go catch it while it is on cinema....don't go buy the pirated VCD at pasar mlm k :)

Suppose yest (Sunday 10th June) don't have aything to do wan....except helping Richard to shift his stuffs to his new house in the morning. In the afternoon...I was really tired d....took a short nap n afterthat browse ard on the net.

Ard 4.30PM...Beckz IM me asking wanna go watch movie or not. Since its been quite sometime since I last watch movie with her...hmmm...why not then. We din't want to go to cinemas with long queue n high chance of sold out ticket....so we decided to go to GSC IOI Mall in Puchong. Movie to watch is Shrek 3.

Reach the cinema ard 5.30pm...still manage to get the 5.50pm movie....hehehe. Since we got some time, I decided to get some sorethroat med coz I am having sorethroat. Went to "a famous" pharmacy at ground floor n get myself a packet of Strepsils.
Ahhhhh....finally some relieve for my sorethroat.

I proceed to check out n pay for the med. The cost is RM 3 and I paid RM 10. The cashier pay me back RM 2 only....so I told her that she made a mistake on returning change. I told her I paid RM 10 so she have to pay me back RM 7...instead she kept on insisting she receive only RM 5 from me. I know I din make any mistakes as I have used up all my small change for the movie ticket....only left RM 10 and RM 50 notes in my wallet only. I insisted I paid RM 10....and the cashier still insist its RM 5.

Lastly the cashier called her supervisor...n they procedded to do a checkout of the money in the cashier drawer. This is a very long process as they have to count all the money in the drawer...but I don care, I insist I am right. When they started counting, time is already 5.45pm....another 5 more minutes to my movie.

Finally after counting...they found out that they have extra Rm 5 and few cents in the drawer compared to the transactions registered in the system. This means they owe me the RM 5 lor...means I correct lor....n means they made me late for my movie. Anyway....we were 5 minutes late for the movie....however at least I did stood up for something I strongly know I am right....ada sikit rasa puas hati.

Smart..., nice..., elegant..., intelligent....and spooky

One of the client place I work for.....is actually quite a nice building, looks good from the street and has good interior also. What makes me amazed is the lift it uses....simply superb. To describe it...I categorized the "superbness"...see below:

Smart/intelligent
This lift very smart....when u press he button to call at lift, it has a system which could designate empty lift for you. Also you don't have to wait for a long time to catch a lift....the system will "kau tim" it for you....serious wan.

Nice
This is nice lift, no smelly smelly smell and conteng conteng wan. Got 1 big piece of mirror inside also...so you can comb hair, adjust tie, pull zipper....etc b4 meet your boss/client.

Elegant
This is high class lift ah...ur journey is very smooth. Kenot feel it jalan n stop wan. Also got voice inside mentioning which floor you reached...except for floor 3A which is a new floor numbering.

Spooky
Sometimes it sendiri can open before you press the button wan....like can read mind. Scary ler...summo here so many potential heart attack people, the management should disable this feature b4 any unseen accident happens.

The best feature of the lift which I notice since the 1st day I came here until now is.....when u take a lift to go down..the auto announcement will sound "Goin down *long pause* going up only"....hehehehe...before closing the door n start decending.

No fish for me please.....tq

Actually I do not really fancy eating fish since long long time ago.....reason is becoz I am lazy...hehehehe. I like to eat meat with less/no bone....no need to get my hand messy peeling the bones out of the meat. I also don't really like eating crusteceans...for the simple reason that I have to peel the shell of it before savoring the meat.

Hence in my menu....crab, prawn and fish is not among the favourites. In fact I don't really eat crabs anymore. I remember treating my friends to dinner on my 27th b'day...we went to a restaurant n order 4 kilos of crabs for 2 different type of dish. I did not touch any of those crab at all...hehehehe...don't think anyone notice also the one who feed the bill did not take the main dish also :p

Fish is an absolute 'no' to me....for the simple reason that there are just too many bones in it. I don't really like to slowly lick n "shiun" the tiny pieces of fish flesh sticking to its bones. However if you give me fish fillet and burgers....I will eat it. Well...basically I am just pure lazy...I like my meat to be free of bones....or shell...hehehehe.

Now days since I took up SCUBA diving....I manage to see how nice the fish (those that we eat) looks alive underwater. The ever famous and expensive "shet yu" (direct translation is snow fish) or known as Barramundi Cod...is such a pretty fish. How can we ever eat such a pretty thing....u just imagine eating your pet hamster or kitten.

Another hing I do not like is the finning of sharks for shark fin. This is a must for chinese dinner....not sure whether it represent anythings beside status becoz shark fin is consider an expensive dish. Recently in my friend's wedding, I did not touch a bit the shark fin soup...no tq.

I am not sure whether what I am doing is foolish, but I think for the time being, I'll stick to my policy of

"no fish please".... :)

I realize like half a year ago....my weekly after work schedule is something like below:

Monday - Swimming
Tuesday - Badminton
Wednesday - Sometimes badminton, sometimes rock climb, sometimes up-hill running
Thursday - Badminton
Friday - Rock climb
Saturday - Badminton
Sunday - Tidur...hehehehehe

Those days.....really fit. Everysday wake up feel very energized and ready to seize the day. Walk up stairs for 10 stories also won't lose my breath...in fact consider just warm up.

The lately I kinda review my weekly after work schedule...its sadly looks like below:

Monday - Lepak at home
Tuesday - Lepak at home
Wednesday - Lepak at home
Thursday - Lepak at home
Friday - Lepak at home
Saturday - Lepak at home
Sunday - Lepak at home

Every morning wake up feeling lethargic....not energized n lazy to seize the day also. Walk stairs for 10 stories also wanna putus breath d...so dangerous. Panjat Gunung Tahan also damm un-fit d....so slow.

I also dunno why suddenly in few months time....I din do so many of my sports activities d. Part of the reason I can think of are:

- Kerja d so not much time.
- Always rain...so susah for me.
- Got distrated...kekekekeke.
- Pure laziness...heheheh

Yest I make a point to go for badminton.....this is one sport I don't want my skill to get anymore worst. I used to train with a bunch of friends....though all of us stop training for quite sometime d. However few of them still play badminton actively...and their level now is just so high. When I see this, I am so sad....how come my level din reach thiers...instead becoming bad now. All in a weekend dive trip (Day 3)

Saturday...
Today is the D-Day for the Wreck Specialty students....today they have to do wreck penetration....which is the most difficult task to do in taking the course.

The wreck they are gonna penetrate is Sugar Wreck. Rt will set a route for them...which he will mark by using his reel. Then the students will have to follow the reel and penetrate the wreck. Those who fail to complete this task will fail the course.

Our 1st dive for today is Tokong Laut....or also known as Temple of The Sea to the average mat salleh. This is a very nice dive site....made out of a huge rock pinacle which rise up of the sea. The peak of the pinacle is about 3 metres above sea level.

There are many rock rumble at the bottom of the pinacle....creating a lot of small cracks and crevics. Reef sharks like nurse and bamboo sharks like to hide among the cracks. I caught a video of a nurse shark hiding in the crack. Also white eye morays loves this areas too.

Visibility is superb....though current is quite strong on one side of the pinacle. We are limited to half of the pinacle to explore only....to avoid from fighting the current. There are some other divers in this site also. I did not do any dive leading this time....so its a FUN dive for me...yahoooooo.

Next is the D-Day dive for the Wreck Specialty students. Our dive is to Sugar Wreck and we are doing penetration. Since there are so many students on this trip, the group are split into 2. I will lead 3 divers to see the propeller and rudder at the stern of the wreck...and RT will lead the other 4 to the wreck entry while he set the reel for the path.

Some students got lost while devending...hence delaying the setting up for the reel...haihzzzz. The while penetrating...someone accidently snap the reel line, only 2 students make it to complete the wreck penetration. On our way back to the resort....RT is thinking how to do penetration for the rest of the students. His reel also is much shorter now.

Finally our last dive is at Terumbu Tiga. There are a lot of rock crevices in this area which is big enuf to penetrate...hence the rest of the students who did not do the penetration in Sugar Wreck will do it here. I am leading Sim for fun dive here and we are looking for Nudi Branch. Vis is very very bad....ard 3 metres only and I imagine I am looking for nudi branch. Search high and low, found many normal nudi branch. Finally reaching the end of the dive....manage to spot a very nice nudi...happy ah Sim.

Lastly at nite....me, RT, yvonne, josh and eddie went rto the chinese restaurant next to Watercolour Resort for dinner. The rest went to Long Beach for partying. After dinner...we went for a walk at PIR (Perhentian Island Resort).....very nice and expensive resort.

End my day with doing my logbook in my room and sleep of early. Its the end of the whole trip...and I did 7 dives in total. Total expenses for my whole trip is roughly ard RM 650....kira ok lah. Nice trip...especially when diving in Fish Heaven...a must go dive site :)

Friday...
Totally rested after a good 8+ hours sleep. Bangun pagi n Paul already awake d too. Brush my gigi n makan the roti I bought (save cost) for breakfast...and I am ready to go diving for today.

1st dive for today is a secret dive site call Fish Heaven. Its so secretive that the buoy is tied 5 metres underwater to avoid other people knowing this site....now I know people do tie bouy underwater. We search for the dive site via GPS and when we are ard the area, the DM will dive into the sea n search for the submerged buoy. Then he/she will surface with the rope tying the buoy...to tie it to the boat.

The dive site is very far from Perhentian...roughly ard 40 mins boat ride. It is actually nearer to Lang Tengah. Was thinking of searching for this site next time n mark it on RT's GPS....then can make it a new 'secret' dive site d.

The dive site is a sunken barge....sunken bout quite some time d, hence become a sanctuary for fishes. While decending, we saw a school of bat fish near the buoy line. Then as we look down....school and school of yellow fussilers and hundreds of damsel fish greets us. We could hardly spot the wreck...its totally covered with fishes. When we are about 5m from the wreck....we can see it. The structure of the wreck is still intact...with some holes on the side, suitable for penetration. Big fishes (puffers, barracudas, snappers) can be seen circling the wreck....hunting for food. Overall this is a superb dive site....a must see.

Our next dive is to Sugar Wreck....the wreck students will have some assignments to do there. The students are split into 2 groups consist of 3 and 4 students each. I am leading 4 students on this dive. Vis is not very clear....hence I lead the students very close to the wreck. We did some simple penetration.....and saw a school of huge (bout 6 feet long) barracudas. Ended the dive by spotting a bamboo shark at the back of the wreck.

After Sugar Wreck.....next dive is Vietnamese Wreck. The current is quite strong on this site. Yvonne is so silly to jump into the water without wearing her fins...haihzzzz....sometimes wanna be "gung-ho" also must see conditions mah. This time ard I lead 3 students while RT lead the other 4. Did some simple penetration....but bit difficult coz the current is so strong. Saw many nice nice soft corals....so colourful.

End the day with a nice dinner and relaxing by the beach. Chart my logs.....and then I'm ready for bed. Got another bz diving day tomorow....hence need the rest.

Initially didn't thought of going for this trip, coz don't think can make it. Suppose to roll into a new project on 14/05/2007....means won't be able to take leave. However suddenly the management told me that the project has been delayed....so I tot, what the heck...just try to get the leaves lah. Got it approved bout 1 week b4 the trip....hence consider really last minute d. Since its last minute...I din really asked anyone to go with me, just wanna make it a simple budget trip.

Wednesday...
Bus is at 9.30pm....so was a bit rush. Left my client's location in PJ ard 6.30pm. Sampai rumah already 7pm...then kena pack pack a little...especially the toiletries stuffs n "mou kan" (towel)and check whether everything is packed or not. Seriously u don't wanna find out u left something important like ur underwear (happen to me ones) when u r already like 400kms away from home.

Took a quick dinner and I am off to the KTM station to catch a train (what else) to the Putra Bus Station near PWTC. Really susah take train with such a huge dive gear bag.....n then kena jln bout 500m from the train station to bus station carrying a 15kg dive bag...torture torture.

One thing nice bout the Putra Bus Station....then bus always depart on time (+- 2 mins) diff....coz the announcer will scold if the bus don leave...hehehehe. So finally cabut from KL at 9.30pm. Its 8 hours ride to Kuala Besut.....or should I say 8 hours of torture if u can't sleep :) Lucky for me...I got both the seat to myself...seems like no one bought the seat beside mine...yahoooooo.

Thursday...
Din get to really sleep much....I think only manage to catch a short nap between 2am till 3.30am. The bus driver is really speeding....we reach Kuala Besut jetty at 4.30am....45 mins earlier than the Mutiara bus which left KL half an hour earlier. Din have anything much to do in the jetty.....weather is nice and windy and cold. The Watercolour office is not open yet also....so I go sleep on a big bench/platform I found near the office. Bout 10 mins into my sleep....a female cat come n rub rub against me wor...wa lau....terkejut aku. Then tido beside me....hehehehehe.

Finally the Watercolour opis open...but still I have to wait for RT n the geng who will only be reaching bout 9.30am....wa lau eh. Manage to catch some sleep in the Watercolour office....eventhough its not comfortable at all.

Finally semua orang sampai...n off we went to Pulau Perhentian. I am damm tired at that time. I skip the 1st dive (just a checkout dive) to have lunch with Chu San and Azlan. Afterthat manage to get bout 2 hours sleep too b4 the next dive at 4.30pm....we are going to Terumbu Tiga (T3)...yahooooo...one of my fav dive site coz a lot of nudi branches. I really sleep like a dead log (expected lah...more than 18 hours no sound sleep) until I din know my room mate knock the door several times too.

Finally at 4.30pm.....we are off to Terumbu Tiga. Mild current is expected coz the tide is moving out. Vis is ok...not bad. I din use my wetsuit.....decide to wear my "charisma" white skin suit n swimming bermudas saja...hehehehe. Din really see anything spectacular lah....except more than 20 of those normal looking nudi branches.

Got night dive today also...but got surcharge...so I dowan to go lah. Spend the rest of the day doin my log (only 1 dive today) coz now got dive comp d....can know my own profile...kekekekeke. Then makan n go to bed early coz next day got early dive.

Memoir of a climbing trip (Day 1)

Was so rush for this trip...just came back from SG bout 48 hours ago...then here I am, ready packed n ready to go. Shopping and packing was bit of a last minute stuff for me...but after getting used to it for so many times d....everything is done in just a couple of hours.

Went to Richard's (RT) house ard 10.30pm, and Chin Yin was already there. She and RT is still doing some last minute packing. Finally kau tim all the packing n stuffs bout 11pm....then go nap liao....12.30am going out for yum cha n then meet up the rest of the convoy at 2am. Reach Raub and meet up with Eric ard 4am. After this....its all the way to Merapoh. I took over the driving from Richard from this point onwards. Chin Yin is sleeping like a pig at the rear seat.....this gal really can sleep.

Reach Merapoh very early...ard 6am. We took a short nap before having breakfast at the stalls ard 7am. Ard 8am...we made our way to the Perhilitan office to get the registration done. Since there are so many of us...we occupy almost the whole outside area to empty everything from our bag to be checked.

Finally everything is done, the checking, the paperwork, the money....and we are all set to jln. Took the 4X4 ride to the startin place at Kuala Juram. Took a big group photo...and we are off into the jungle at 10.50am.

Not really fit this year....mainly becoz I have stop actively involved in sports for the past 3 months. Really suffer in Tahan...especially when try to match up with the pace I had last year. Took almost 1 hour to complete the 5km section from Kuala Juran to Kuala Luis.....which I did in 45 mins only last year. This stretch got some river crossing parts...which is always fun and full of actions.

River crossing...hehehe...fun fun.

Reached Camp Kor ard 2pm......a little late than expected. Took our cold and relaxing bath here n rested for ard 30mins before continuing the last 6kms to Kubang camp site. Waited till Deon and Chu San arrived...then found out that Shen is not doin well and vomitted a few times along the way. I realize then that few of us will not make it to Kubang camp site tonite...haihzzzz...feel a bit disappointed.

Finially reached Kubang camp site ard 5pm. Was raining just before we arrive....and the place is covered with thick mist......cold. I quickly setup my flysheet and ground sheet....and rested under the flysheet. The last to arrive are Deon And Chu San....around 8pm. Basically everyone made it safely. Yew Hong looks so tired.....hehehe...mentally n physically exhausted.

Overall not much actions in the 1st day....everything went smoothly despite having to execute plan B...which is to split the group on separate campsites becoz some were very slow. The 1st timers seems to enjoy it so far.....and the old timers are all lepaking saja.

Work work work

When we r in college/school.....we always envy those who r working coz they are making their own money and buying stuffs they like. Also we envy that they do not have to do homework everyday at nite at home.

After finishing our education....we feel "YAHOOOO.....working life, here I come", and hence we join are so eager to join the working force. Initially we join the list of unemployed grads.....all have almost same skillset as us, competing for limited jobs available.

Then we secure a job....""YAHOOO....I got a job" is what u feel. U start to dress up smartly (formal working clothes) which you only do when u have formal presentations in college. U join the work force.

Then u realize.....ur boss like to rush u to complete ur job. Datelines are something new to you...and time is never enuf. The dateline which u have for college projects seems to be more lenient than those u have for work. U started to have not enuf time, hence u will need to work at home after working hours....or stay back in office to finish up ur work. Hey...wait a minute....isn't this similar to 'homework'...then 1 thing u hated so much during school/college.

Then when u get paid....you found that there are so many type of deductions, which left you net income not that mush after all. After paying your bills n sorts (well...working d mah, don say u still want ur parents to pay ur bills)....the amount of ur left income is not really enuf for the Gucci handbag you tot of buying when u started working. You'll learn that you only get your income ones a months (some company pay half monthly, so that's 2 times a month)...something very different from the pocket money which you get as and when u want.

Now u think again.....hmmm....sometimes working is not so much fun too. Well...what I think is...look at what u like your work to offer to you...and work towards that. Then working brings a whole new meaning to you again.

I am sitting here in my foreign client's office bloggin....coz the 'doggies' who got me here rush me for all sort of things....n now I came in early to work...none of them is ard....hehehehehe.

Going diving again

The diving bug has bitten me again...and this time the bite is deep. I am deeply infected by the diving "desease"...so badly that I am going to the sea again this weekend to seek the cure to my addiction.

Actually it doesn't really sound that bad lah. I just love Scuba diving...so if got chance, I will go for it. Furthermore now i have a "buddy" for life d....so even more easier.

I am looking forward for the trip this weekend....coz my friend aka "the instructor" is gonna let me teach his Open Water Students on some of the modules in knowledge development. This will be part of DM training for me :) Hope able to have fun while educating people on the FUN FUN FUN of Scuba Diving.....hehehe...hurrayyyy

I saw Nudi Branch

Among the abundance of aquatic life under the ocean...only the Nudi Branch seems to have caught my attention. The 1st time I saw them....they really look so colourful and cute. After knowing that is it not easy to spot them...I became more eager to look for them each time I go diving.

Definition of Nudi Branch (aka Nudibranch) as stated by wikipedia:

Nudibranchs are sea slugs belonging to the suborder Nudibranchia, the largest suborder of the order Opisthobranchia. There are more than 3,000 described species.

In my recent trip to Perhentian, I manage to spot few of them in Terumbu Tiga.

Finally...the wait is over. Its been slightly more than 6 months since I last dive into the sea (ones a while got dive in swimming pool ler :p hehehe). Over the months....I kinda forgotten how sea water taste also...hehehehe.

When I heard bout the trip to Perhentian on end March, at 1st I kinda shake the idea off coz the sea will still be quite rough bout this time. Also during that time, I have not secured a job yet, hence going diving is way out of my budget.

Then later I manage to get a job.....hmmm...now seems I can go dive d. I calculate my budget and seems like I can afford to get some gears too....hmmmm, now I am even tempted to start diving again.

Finally I made up my mind....and round up some friends. I got my gears...and I am going diving end of this month. Now only 1 word I can say....

I kinda wonder....how come you are so unpredictable. In my schooling days, I was taught that rain usually follows a pattern and is according to monsoon. Also if the sky is dark n thunders can be heard, then its gonna rain heavily on that day.

These days however.....u decide to rain whenever u like. The most magnificent thing is u will be so hot and sunny during the day...then continue to be hot n sunny in the evening but u decide to pour ur rain also. It does look funny when it rains in a hot and sunny day. Ones a while it happen...well people will find it strange. However when it happens almost everyday.....it starts to be a nuianse.

Haihzzzzz.....what can I do....just live with it lor.

Today went to buy gears.....wah...really kenot tahan lah. The feeling of going back into the sea is just so strong. When testing the gears n putting on the BCD to test the size.....really feel like going back to diving d.

Its been 6 months now......arghhhh....half year din touch the sea liao. Miss seeing the nice fishes, the taste of salt water and the wonderful feeling of doing "backroll entry" into the sea.

Need to brush up on my skills again before goin back into the sea......have to get used to my new gears n know where are the equipments attach to.

Anyway...gonna have a trip voming really soon, so I wanna say....

Haihzzz.....why oh why. It started out as a clear sky morning....with slight breeze blowing the haze into KL. Then in afternoon and evening....the sun is so bright that it can burn. The heat is so intense that we sweat while having lunch.

Then in late evening ard 6.20pm....I was ready to leave office and pay a visit to my mechanic. The sun is just so bright n it looks like a sunny hot day. I walk to the window to check the traffic...n to my horror...I realise....its pouring heavily out there. I kinda wonder....where the hell did these rain comes from ?????

Its been raining for more than an hour now and it shows no sign of stoping. I think I might as well not wait anymore n make a move lah, since I'm gonna get wet anyway.

Damm the weather.

haihzzz......sudah start lah ni. What I mean....well...its the weather lor. I remember bout 1 month ago...I read in the papers n it says that due to El-Nino, Selangor is gonna be getting a lot of sunlight so the Menteri Besar ask people to brace urself for water ratioining. Then bout 2 weeks ago...the Jabatan Kaji Cuaca say that, also due to El-Nino.....Selangor will be getting a lot of rain.

So how....wanna listen to who ??? or should we just blame it on El-Nino ???

I think both the menteri besar n jabatan kaji cuaca also ngam.....coz now days damm hot sun in morning n noon...then damm heavy rain in evening n nite. The doctors also damm happy...coz the sudden change of cuaca (1/2 hour is enuf to change from damm hot 'sunny' to damm heavy 'rainy') can cause many people get sick.

Last weekend balik kampung for CNY...wa lau eh...damm hot my kampung. My mum say I lucky d....coz still got bit drizzle in late evening. She say prior to me coming back...it can last bout 5 days without a single drop of rain n the sun will be blaring its mighty ray direct doen to earth.

I wish the rain in KL could lari a bit to my kampung lah.

CNY coming d

Yahoooo...every year, this is the moment I am looking forward too. Well...its becoz got angpow mah....hehehehehe. Actually I always look forward to CNY becoz its the time I get to see my cousins n relatives come together. The atmosphere is just superb....so many people coming together to share stories n laughters.

I remember when I was a kid......playing fire crackers is still legal. On the eve of CNY, dad will hang the long long long red cracker "pau chiong" on the porch and wait for the clock to strike 12 midnite. Then he will burn the cracker with the neighbours n the whole "taman" will have thunderous sound of fire crackers.

Now days its illegal to play fire crackers anymore....but the spirit of CNY is always there. Maybe the celebration is less these days....however the tradition is still well maintained. My sis n me still kneel down n offer tea to our parents on the morning of the 1st day of CNY as an act of seeking forgiveness. I plan to maintain this tradition to my kids next time n them to thier's.

I always like to kacau my cousin (Eric)....maybe coz he is the only cousin I have which share the same sex n age with me.

Recently....I was eating at a rest in SS15 with Beckz....then suddenly I saw this chap just came n sit 3 tables away from me. He look damm familiar...n came with a gal I don know is who. Then I tengok betui betui...baru realize its my cousin.

So I pick up my mobile n gave him a call. I pretended dunno where he is n start asking questions...like "mana lu ??", "what r u doin ?", "with whom r u with ?"...etc. Suprisingly he quite honest also ah...din tipu me...ehehehe. Then after makan, I walk to his table n say I saw him earlier lah. He also quite suprise...say I very bad coz kacau him...hehehehehe.

Few days later I was at home n called Eric to inform him of something. As usual...my 1st words to him will be "Mana lu ???"....., immediately his reply is "U mana...cepat keluar..jangan sorok sorok"...kekekeke. At 1st I quite suprise...then I realize that few days ago I baru play a joke on him...so now he tot I am ard n saw him also...hehehehe.

Now think bout it...also feel funny lah. Nice to have a cousin that can kacau kacau ones a while...hehehe.

Hmmm...if I remember correctly....the last time I dive was middle Sept last year. Its been almost 6 months now....hmmm....ada sikit miss diving also. Soon the dive season on the East Coast gonna start.

Initially bout the end of last year, I tot I would not get a chance to dive again this year. Initially wanted to do DM training this year also....but then seriously kena reconsider.

The bout the begining of this year...I manage to secure a kerja. This means I will have income to feed my passion d....however now got 1 problem pulak. Now $$$ might have...but time maybe tarak pulak...haihzzzz.

End of March got a trip to Perhentian.....me n Beckz also planning to go for it now. Hopefully our plan jadi lah....seriously we need a diving holiday to kick start the season......

2nd encounter with Bank X

My second encounter with Bank X. This time is to make my ATM card n setup my e-banking stuff. I went there at lunch time (since now kerja liao...not much choice)...which I know will have many people wan.

Sampai at the bank....I went to the counter n enquire bout the process. Then realize ini Bank X quite canggih wor...use some smartcard reader to read ur IC n scan ur thumb print for bank acc authentication. Not bad wor...use bio-metric wan.

Then the person gave me a card with a number on it and pointed me to a row of chairs n ask me wait there. Then the counter person will manually call u wan....aiks....what happen to technology d lah.

Anyway the whole process is quite fast.....only the wait is bit frustrating. They manage to issue mt rhe ATM card immediately, which I can use immediately also. The at nite...I kau tim my online banking thingy also d. So overall still ok lah.

Wah....just realize more than 1 week din post anything in here d....kesian blog. Anyway was bit bz for the past week.....coz kerja d mah. Pagi sampai petang bz kerja...then mlm mau settle personal stuffs, sports n tido. When things are more settle d....will make time to kacau kacau in my blog again...hehehehe.

Anyway...now kerja d, best also. 1st of all the office is in KLCC....level 66 lagi, damm tinggi. First day they ask me no need go so early....come in at 10am, so I tumpang my sis kereta go kerja lah. Left rumah bout 8.45am n reach KLCC at 9.30am...ok lah.

2nd day I pandai pandai.....wanna try take the public transport. I will kena take the bus from my place to KL Sentral, then change to Putra LRT to KLCC. Left home bout 7.15 am n step on the bus bout 7.25am. Suppose to reach office at 8.30am. Then to my horror.....the jam damm kaw jialat lah. Finally after standing in the bus n LRT for so so so so long....I reach office at 9.30am....wa lau eh. Luckily my office not very strict on time in n time out for consultants.

The next day I am posted to client's site at Sec 16 PJ d. Wah...I am thinking..."good good...no need jam to KL d". Now I can wake up bit later n then sit my bike to PJ n reach ard 8.30am.

Quite glad that I started working again. Now I can plan my time better and also make use of it more effective n efficiently. Felt bit useless after sitting at home for so long.

damm damm damm

Yest I went to sign my contract with my new employer....then they ask me to open an acc with Bank X so they can pay my salary to that acc. I asked them whether they take any other bank punya acc or not, they say no.....so I know d...will be damm mafan to deal with Bank X wan.

So today I go to Bank X....the nearest cawangan to my house lah. 1st trip already kena patah balik home to take something....coz this Bank X manyak particular wan....want water bill lah, telephone bill lah, astro bill lah....etc bills to see, then only wanna open the acc wan.

When kau tim bring all the docs n fill the long long form (now digital age lah, why still got such long forms wan)....then wait for them to process. Then when come my turn...the staff check my details n say I got an "inactive" acc with the bank but in other branch. I told them I closed the acc many years ago d....but they say according to the system its not "closed" but its "inactive". Now they kenot open new acc for me, instead I kena go back to the original branch where my "inactive" acc is, and reactivate it. I was thinking...."What the F***......ur system screw up n now I kena ding dong ding dong kasi u all bounce me here n there". Luckily the original branch is still in the Klang Valley.

So lastly I was back at the branch where my so called "inactive" acc is located. Sampai there, I say I wanna reactivate...they check n say its "closed"....what the heck. Ask me to reopen a new one at the branch near my house (the one I just came from), I say kenot coz the other branch say ur system won't allow it coz its "inactive". Then they ask me to wait...n they check check. Finally say my acc is "inactive" n they will reactivate it. Ask me fill forms again....so oklah, I fill n tot its over. Then I submit the forms...they ask me to come back 3 hours later...wa lau eh...I am thinking why they can't do it immediately.

So now I am back home while waiting for my 3 hours to be up. I really damm tu lan with this Bank X d. I dowan to mention name lah...but being able to blog bout it also I happy liao.

Akhirnya....penantian ku selama 6 3/4 bulan berakhir minggu depan. However it will still be project based....6 months saja with chances of renewal. Bit sien when heard its project based contract...but then, better than nothing lah. Finally can plan my other activites such as jungle trekking n diving too d.

If u r wondering what i am talking....well.....I'm gonna start working liao lor.

Balik kampung

I balik kampung (Melaka) last weekend...and as usual, nothing much to do. So I visited the Melaka Zoo, which I have not been there since a long long long time d. Took my camera with me n manage to get some nice picture also.

Overall the trip was nice and educational. The zoo is ok lah...., quite big and many displays. However I think it can still improve a lot, especially on the directions. There is just not enuf signboards showing where specific animals are and how to get there.

I seldom watch movie.....in cinema and also on TV. Suddenly few days ago (Tuesday to be specific)....suddenly feel mau go see movie pulak. So I drag Beckz with me to my favourite cinema (GSC @ Summit USJ) to catch a wayang. The wayang we choose is "Night At The Museum"....have to choose a comedy..else both of us will sleep in cinema later =P

Bout the movie:
Quite nice....very funny too. I like the Easter Island kepala statue...keep on calling Ben Stiller as "Dum Dum"....hehehee. The "Hey, dum dum! Give me gum gum!" phrase really make everyone in the cinema burst in laughter.

Also the miniatures of the cowboys and the romans are funny too. Their leaders Jedediah (acted by Owen Wilson) and Octavius (acted by Steve Coogan) are damm funny...asyik mau gaduh only. The ending part featuring the two characters is really funny....not gonna spoil the story by telling it in my blog. Its kinda funny that Owen Wilson is uncredited in the movie..., though he played a major part in it.

Robin Williams acted well as Theodore Roosevelt (US 26th president). One of the quotes he say which I find very funny is "Dear Lord Larry! Why are you slapping the monkey ?" when he saw Ben Stiller exchanging slaps with a monkey call Dexter.

Not forgetting is the monkey call Dexter.....really funny monkey. I sometimes kinda wonder how those people train these monkeys to be able to act so good.

Overall....nice and funny movie to watch. Enjoyed myself for the whole duration of the show n din slept off too.....hehehehe.

OK...proceed to the story. See below:

Some people think I 'gila" wan.....some think I "phycho" wan. Some even think I am addicted wan......but whatever they say, nothing is stoping me. Every year without fail.....there is 1 place which I will visit around March - June. This is a place of super duper torture to ur mental n physical fitness. Some go there liao....then come back become totally diff person liao. Well...the place is no other than Gunung Tahan....to all the kuai lou reading...it is known as Mt Tahan.

Some facts bout Gunung Tahan (from Wikipedia - Gunung Tahan):

Height : 2,187m (7,175ft)

Location : Tmn Negara Pahang

Range : Tahan Range

Coordinates : 4 degrees 38 minutes North, 102 degrees 14 minutes East

My 1st trip to this wonderful place is back in March 2003. I remember that time just only after final exam in college. There are around 7 of us in the trip.....if I am not wrong are Riza, Alissa, Shahrif, Chelva, Sameer, Anjela and finally me. I can say that all of us (except Shahrif) is quite new to mountain climbing. We are not really "very" prepared for the trip. Initially wanted to go up via Kuala Tahan....but later change the route to Merapoh coz of cost involved.....nasib baik.

1st day climb....so excited. Jalan jalan jalan for more than 6 hours....then finally realize that is not so fun anymore....hehehehe. My leg feel like jelly d coz very tired.....Chelva backpack (looks more like school bag) koyak.....n Angela n Sameer don't look so good too. Finally reach Camp Kor (1st campsite).....all of us tired like hell.

2nd din start well. Chelva is sick and can't proceed anymore. Sameer and Anjela is also very tired, hence they patah balik to Camp Kor. Finally only left Riza, Shahrif, Alissa and me. 2nd day is also very torturing. First of all coz its the 1st time I kena pass the 3.5kms Permatang - Kubang route....which to me is the more torture part of the whole journey. This section of the route requires us to continuingly climb steps and steps and steps of tree roots (nature ladders) non stop for 3.5kms. Towards the latter end of the 2nd day journey (going up Bkt Botak)...my leg is totally weak. I walk like a zombie....dragging my legs beneath me....forcing myself to move. My feets are also suffering from blisters...coz my shoe is not really suitable. I am mentally and physically exhausted. Finally make it to Bkt Botak bout 6pm.....sat down on the rocks....n took me a while before I can gather enuf strength to get up again...hehehehe.

At nite...it was freaking cold....well maybe coz we din bring enuf thick clothes. All 4 of us slept in an A-tent. We cook our own dinner....Shahrif share with Alissa while I share with Riza. Our guide manage to make nasi kunyit (yellow glutinous rice) and treat us all a meal. We were quite amazed how he is able to prepare such nice food with minimal "tools" n ingredients....but then again, everything taste nice when u r hungry, cold n weak...hehehehe. Din sleep well that nite.

3rd day...woke up very very early to hike another 2.5kms to the peak. This is the moment we are all waiting for......all the tiredness of hiking all the way..just for a short moment...to glimpse the beauty of the sun rising on Peninsula Msia highest mountain. The feeling is just indescribable. As people say..."beautiful things/moments cannot be described"....I felt and saw it at that moment.

After watching the sun rise...we made our way back to Bkt Botak for breakfast....then its all the way back down the way we came up, to Camp Kor. We reach Camp Kor around 5pm. It really feels nice to be able to dip into the clear, cold flowing water at the river beside the campsite. After bathing (we seriously deserve 1)....we cook dinner and chat the nite away. Finally all go tidur.

4th day....keluar hutan lor. Finally...back to civilization. It just took us 4 1/2 hours to come out of the jungle. My feets are full of blisters....all thanks to choosing the wrong pair of shoe for the trip. My shoulder is painful n tired.....result of carrying the heavy backpack for days. My stomach don feel nice....coz not been eating properly for the past 3 days.

Anyway....even after all the torture I been through in this trip, I still go back to Gunung Tahan (without fail) every year. I dunno what attracts me....maybe its the undescribable feeling of achievement, maybe its the sceneries...or maybe its just in my genes to climb mountains.

I still remember my guide asked me this question "Tahun depan nak datang lagi ? (in English: Coming again next year ?)" at the peak of Gunung Tahan....n I answered "Oh tidak (in English: NO)". Looking back.....I have now climbed Gunung Tahan 4 times....hehehehehe...funny lah, kenot explain y also.

Intro dive.....time to play water

A friend of mine like to make intro dive (Introduction to SCUBA Diving) programme for non-divers ones a while. I happen to join one of his session for fun. Few of my fellow diver friends also decide to come along n have fun in the pool...the result....1 "gila" chaotic n FUN session...hehehehe.

Putrajaya @ nite

When I was working in Cyberjaya last time.....there was ones I sent a friend off to KLIA at nite bout 8pm. After sending him off...I go back to Cyberjaya (via ERL Transit) bout 10+pm. On the way....I bypass Putrajaya and the nite scenery there is simply superb.

The government buildings are built in various designs till an architech friend of mine says its a place of "rojak" building designs. Most of the buildings have lights turned on at nite, hence it is quite bright lit during the nite. With less air polution as compared to KL...the sky in Putrajaya is more darker.

Seeing such beautiful scenery.....I made a point to myself that one day I will purposely go there at nite and snap a few "cun" pics. However...those days din materialize......till........today. Below are some pics I manage to capture:

I still remember that day....those memories are still so fresh in my mind. It was evening....bout 6pm....the rain just stopped bout 10 minutes before. Its on this day...that I hurt my "darling" so badly...that she has not manage to fully recover till now. Eventhough she look and feel better now......I can still sense that she has not recover from some of the hurts which happen on that particular day.

The picture above shows my "darling" after I have hurted her.

I still remember the details. I was going about 90km/h on the bike lane in Kesas...it was very very wet. When I reach an intermediate left corner just before the toll plaza, as usual I brake, down shift, blip the trottle n control the clutch while maintaining my lean angle. Suddenly my rear tyre goes into a spin n slided to the edge of the road, into the grass. I lost traction immediately on both wheels, feel off my "darling" (with my "darling" on top of me) n slided bout 10 meters on the grass.

Then something on the grass (maybe a lump of soil) caught the rear tyre n flip the bike to the other side. I was thrown onto the air for bout 2 meters n landed on some small flower trees. Poor tree...1 got uprooted n another one totally flatten.

It was really a very bad experience for me. This is the 1st time I crached my "darling" since I bought it. I manage to repair it fully.....but till today it never felt the same anymore.

I'll never make the same mistakes again.....this is my promise to my "darling".

Aihhhzzzz.....so fast kena say bye bye to 2006 d. Bit sad to say bye bye to 2006....coz its a kinda nice year for me. 1st of all...I work 1/2 a year (exactly from 1st Jan till 30th June) and lepak at home for the next 1/2...from 1st July till 31st Dec. Not something I am proud of.....but it feels kinda strange.

The next best thing is I took up SCUBA Diving......never regreted this action. It was FUN FUN FUN all the way....even though it cost a lot of money. In total did 7 dive trips this year....n graduated from ND (Non-Diver) to RD (Rescue Diver).

Now wondering what 2007 will be to me. Now yet set resolution...hehehehe

SUDOKU

Some people were wondering whether how I pass my time sitting at home for the past few months. Well....for the 1st 3 months...I was bz with diving. Then I spend my time a lot on reading.....n recently (bout 1 month ago)....hooked on SUDOKU pulak...hehehehe

All these thanks to my sifu Beckz for introducing me to SUDOKU...hehehehehe

Actually I kinda wonder....how such a simple (I mean the design, not the puzzle) game can be so addictive. It really enhances ur ability to rationalize. Some of the puzzle is so difficult that u actually have to plan the moves few steps ahead in order to get the answer.

For those who haven't discover the world of Sudoku....come come....ah Siew boleh get u addicted to it...hehehehe

Blood donation

I must admit.....I do not donate money..., not to beggers, monks or anyone. The only thing I donate is blood coz I believe that the blood really will go towards saving ones life.

Yest I went to donate blood in a hospital. This is the 1st time I donate in hospital......all the other times is done in shopping malls, colleges, offices and temples. I decided to do it in the hospital this time becoz I just wanna see how different the environment compared to in complexes n temples.

1st thing I notice....its not easy to find the blood bank. The hospital has just renovated its facilities....hence the location of the blood bank has been moved. After asking few hospital staffs and walk a distance.....finally found the blood bank.

2nd thing I notice....the chair is damm comfy. Usually in complexes/temples, u just get to lie down on those "katil lipat"....but in the hospital, they have these damm comfy chair. Then notice they have a digital device to weight the blood u r donating. That device also tracks the time u take to donate the blood....cool.

Overall....donated 450ml of blood in 4 mins 36 secs. Was kinda happy as my blood pressure still low, means still healthy...hehehehe. Also happy coz I manage to complete one of my 2006 resolution...which is to donate blood 4 times in 2006....yahoooooo. Will try to donate 4 times again in 2007.
